The historic city of Bonifacio is located at the end of fjord-like inlet in the South of Corsica and is considered one of the most picturesque natural harbours in the Mediterranean. The town is home to medieval houses and churches on narrow, winding streets in the haute ville, which is perched on a limestone ledge 200 feet above the sea. Its natural port offers a wide selection of restaurants and shops. High above, the Citadel has a more exclusive array of restaurants and boutiques.

Maddalena Islands

The Maddalena archipelago is a group of islands on the north eastern coast of Sardinia, a secluded haven of turquoise waters and pristine coves that until recently was off limits for visitors. Dotted between Sardinia and Corsica, seven large islands and 55 tiny ones boast some of the most spectacular beaches anywhere in Italy and remain protected national parks for land and marine life. The only small settlement in the islands, La Maddalena offers visitors the opportunity to experience the local way of living and peaceful atmosphere of the island. Everything is within walking distance.

Calvi

Calvi is a delightful town with Roman origins on the Northwest coast of Corsica. Considered one of Corsica’s best anchorages, Calvi is also the hub of the Balagne region, known as the “Garden of Corsica” for its fertile olive groves. Renowned for its impressive 13th-century citadel, Calvi has a popular port and marina. You will find plenty of restaurants and cafés on the Quai Landry, the seafront walkway linking the marina and the port. It is an area of sandy coves, red granite rocks, high mountain peaks and ancient villages exuding character and charm.

Lavezzi Islands

The Lavezzi Islands form a small archipelago of granite islands and reefs in the Strait of Bonifacio that separates Corsica from Sardinia. Entirely uninhabited, that is precisely its charm. Classified as a Natural Reserve by France in 1982, the islands in the strait between Sardinia and Corsica have been protected from development. But there is no protection from the elements! The wind has whipped the granite cliffs into fantastic shapes, while the coves between the rocks are secluded alcoves of soft white sand with clear water teeming with fish.

Set high in and overlooking the Calanques de Piana the village provides fabulous views of the surrounding mountains and also sweeping views over the Golfe de Porto and the red cliffs of the calanques. To visit Piana your Captain will most likely anchor off the beautiful Arone Beach, a large sandy beach lapped by an azure sea with a backdrop of green hills and mountains. Ashore the Casabianca restaurant offers a chic ambiance with delicious food and stunning views. Being able to look down at your luxury charter yacht anchored in the bay adds to the pleasure.

Olbia

With a Greek name meaning ‘happy’, Olbia used to be a little fishing village but has now grown to become Sardinia’s busiest ferry port, complete with an international airport and tons of tourist amenities.
